Plan Intro DSW - June 2026 - “But God…”
If you look up the word “but” in the dictionary or on dictionary.com, you might be surprised at how many uses you will find of that simple, 3 letter word. I sure was surprised!! I had no idea how many ways the word “but” could be invoked. This month’s scripture writing topic, “But God…” will demonstrate the usage of that word in various ways throughout God’s Holy Word. Many times, you will find it used in a way that seemingly turns a situation around, as shown in Genesis 15:20a, “But as for you, you thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good…” In Joseph’s situation, God had taken the evil perpetuated upon him by his brothers, and turned it to good. How many times do we also see that play out in our own lives? We recently held a “But God…” service at our church.
