DSW - MAY 2026 - "SING!"

 DSW - MAY 2026 - "SING!"

There’s something powerful about a song. It can lift a heavy heart, declare victory before it’s seen, and carry truth deeper than spoken words ever could. Throughout Scripture, singing is more than music—it’s worship, warfare, remembrance, and joy all woven together.

For me personally, singing is LIFE!  My mother first put me on the stage to sing a solo at the age of 8 at our small, country church .  To be honest, I wasn't super thrilled about it because I didn't like having all eyes on me, but I somehow made it through.  Mom knew God had given me a talent that I was to use for His glory! By 5th grade, I began singing in chorus at school, and continued doing so throughout my school years.  At age 22, my husband and I both joined the choir in the church we were attending, and my love for singing was stoked like never before.  I began singing in church every chance I got, doing so throughout his US Navy career, wherever we were stationed.  I sang in the smallest churches and some very large churches from coast to coast, and even had the distinct privilege of being a part of the Billy Graham choir when the church we attended in San Diego, CA (Dr. David Jeremiah's church - Shadow Mountain) were asked to be his choir one year (THAT was nothing short of incredible!!).  These days I sing all over Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina as a soloist, in a duet, in a trio, and also co-lead worship in our praise team at our church.  Lifting my voice in song to the Lord is woven into every fiber of my being, and now I even write many of my own songs!  Having said all that, isn't it about time for a scripture writing plan titled, "SING?"

This 31-day scripture writing plan is an invitation to slow down and write the Word of God, focusing on what it means to SING—to praise in every season, to trust when it’s hard, and to celebrate who God is. As you write each passage, don’t rush. Let the words settle into your spirit. Some days may feel like a shout of joy, others like a quiet whisper of faith—but every line you write is planting truth in your heart.

Whether you sing out loud, hum softly, or simply let your soul respond, may this month draw you closer to God’s presence and remind you that your song matters. Let your life song sing to HIM!

~Mel~

** Please note: I write all my plans based from the KJV Holy Bible, so other translations may vary in wording, but should have the same context. Also, I write all my plans for 31 days so they can be used any month of the year. **
