A 31-Day Scripture Writing Plan

Dear Friends,

Have you ever noticed how often God works suddenly?

One moment, everything appears ordinary. The next, He speaks, intervenes, rescues, reveals, or changes the course of history. Throughout Scripture we find "suddenly" moments—times when God's power interrupted fear, judgment, complacency, waiting, or even impossibility. While those moments may have seemed unexpected to the people experiencing them, they were never unexpected to God. He was faithfully working behind the scenes all along.

This month's Scripture Writing Plan invites you to explore these divine interruptions. Some passages reveal God's sudden blessings. Others describe sudden judgment, unexpected consequences, or urgent calls to repentance. Together they remind us that God is sovereign over every moment and that we are called to live with hearts prepared for His timing.

As you write each day's passage, don't rush through the words. Take time to notice:

  • What happened suddenly?
  • Who was affected?
  • What was God revealing about His character?
  • How should this truth change the way I live today?

Writing Scripture is more than copying words onto a page. It is an opportunity to slow your heart, meditate on God's Word, and allow the Holy Spirit to impress eternal truths upon your mind. Some days may bring encouragement. Others may bring conviction. Still others may fill you with hope as you remember that the God who acted suddenly throughout history is still working today—even when we cannot yet see His hand.

Perhaps you've been waiting for God to answer a prayer, heal a broken heart, restore a relationship, provide direction, or open a door. Remember that God's delays are never His denials. He is never late, and His timing is always perfect. The God who moved suddenly in the lives of Moses, Joshua, David, the prophets, the disciples, and the early church is the same God who is at work in your life today.

As you begin this journey, ask the Lord to give you a heart that is watchful, faithful, and obedient. May these thirty-one days deepen your trust in Him and remind you that even when life seems quiet, God is preparing the next chapter of His story.

May you be ready whenever God chooses to move...

 April 2026 - Daily Scripture Writing Plan, "Names of God" Preface: This month's plan was originally shared back in July 2022.  As I attempted to create a new plan for April 2026, my mind was unsettled and my Spirit felt blocked from creating brand new content.  I prayed and sought the Lord's direction.  I felt Him leading me back to this plan from several years ago.  The names of God are timeless. I never tire of studying them.  As we are currently observing Holy Week leading up to Easter 2026, I believe this plan definitely bears repeating.  Perhaps it will help us keep our focus on the characteristics of our loving Father, even long past frilly, new Easter dresses, hats and bows. DSW - MAY 2026 - "SING!"

 DSW - MAY 2026 - "SING!" There’s something powerful about a song. It can lift a heavy heart, declare victory before it’s seen, and carry truth deeper than spoken words ever could. Throughout Scripture, singing is more than music—it’s worship, warfare, remembrance, and joy all woven together. For me personally, singing is LIFE!  My mother first put me on the stage to sing a solo at the age of 8 at our small, country church .  To be honest, I wasn't super thrilled about it because I didn't like having all eyes on me, but I somehow made it through.  Mom knew God had given me a talent that I was to use for His glory! By 5th grade, I began singing in chorus at school, and continued doing so throughout my school years.  At age 22, my husband and I both joined the choir in the church we were attending, and my love for singing was stoked like never before.  I began singing in church every chance I got, doing so throughout his US Navy career, wherever we were ...
