Daily Scripture Writing

Well, it's that time of year again.  The farming communities around our home in northwest Georgia, USA (in the southeastern US) are in full swing to harvest their crops.  Fields of cotton look like fields of snow. Soy fields are starting to yellow with ripe crops. Many corn crops have already been gleaned and only the stalks remain, awaiting to be cut down and ground up.  It's an amazing thing to watch as the farmers go through all the steps to harvest the products of their diligent efforts over many, many months.  Harvest is a process that really takes up the entire year, year after year as the fields are harvested and the soil is prepared for the next year's planting.   In many ways, the process of harvesting crops parallels that of lives being sown in Christian faith.  Jesus addressed this in Matthew 9:36-38 which states,  36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, a...
