Month Two: Love in Action

Dear Friend,

Welcome to Month Two of our ONE ANOTHER Scripture Writing Journey!

Last month, we began exploring the beautiful—and sometimes challenging—instructions God gives us for living in relationship with one another.

And if Month One taught us anything, I hope it was this:

Biblical love is an action.

Scripture doesn't tell us simply to feel love for one another.

It tells us to DO something with it.

Encourage one another.

Pray for one another.

Confess to one another.

Show hospitality to one another.

Serve one another.

Be humble toward one another.

Build one another up.

Love one another deeply.

John puts it beautifully:

“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”
1 John 3:18 KJV

In deed and in truth.

That's where we're headed this month.

During these next 31 days, we'll continue writing through the New Testament's “one another” imperatives, but I want to challenge us to take one additional step.

After you write each day's Scripture, ask yourself:

How can I LIVE this today?

If today's passage says encourage one another, encourage someone.

If it says pray for one another, stop and pray for someone by name.

If it says show hospitality, look for a way to make someone feel welcomed.

If it says bear one another's burdens, pay attention to the person who may be carrying something too heavy alone.

If it says love one another, ask God to show you someone who especially needs to experience His love through you.

And here's the harder part:

Don't limit “one another” to the people who are easy to love.

Jesus never did.

Sometimes our greatest opportunity to demonstrate Christlike love comes through the person who frustrates us, disappoints us, misunderstands us, or simply sees the world differently than we do.

That's when these Scriptures move from the page...into our lives.

Imagine what could happen in our homes, churches, friendships, workplaces, and communities if God's people truly began living the “one anothers” of Scripture.

Less comparison.

Less criticism.

Less division.

More grace.

More encouragement.

More forgiveness.

More service.

More Jesus.

So as we begin Month Two, let's not simply ask God to help us understand His Word.

Let's ask Him for the courage and humility to obey it.

May our lives become living demonstrations of what Jesus meant when He said:

“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
John 13:35 KJV

Let's put our love into action.

I wanted to make sure you have the resource with the themes this month bc some of the overlap last month caused confusion.  Hopefully the pages with the theme included will help alleviate that, but I realize they are visually overwhelming, so I'm posting both the simpler forms and the busier so each person can choose.

** Please note: This plan is based from the NKJV Holy Bible, so other translations may vary in wording, but should have the same context. Also, I post all plans for 31 days so they can be used any month of the year. **

DSW PLAN INTRO - APRIL 2026 - NAMES OF GOD

 April 2026 - Daily Scripture Writing Plan, "Names of God" Preface: This month's plan was originally shared back in July 2022.  As I attempted to create a new plan for April 2026, my mind was unsettled and my Spirit felt blocked from creating brand new content.  I prayed and sought the Lord's direction.  I felt Him leading me back to this plan from several years ago.  The names of God are timeless.  DSW - MAY 2026 - "SING!" There’s something powerful about a song. It can lift a heavy heart, declare victory before it’s seen, and carry truth deeper than spoken words ever could. Throughout Scripture, singing is more than music—it’s worship, warfare, remembrance, and joy all woven together. For me personally, singing is LIFE!  My mother first put me on the stage to sing a solo at the age of 8 at our small, country church .  To be honest, I wasn't super thrilled about it because I didn't like having all eyes on me, but I somehow made it through.  Mom knew God had given me a talent that I was to use for His glory! By 5th grade, I began singing in chorus at school, and continued doing so throughout my school years.  At age 22, my husband and I both joined the choir in the church we were attending, and my love for singing was stoked like never before.  I began singing in church every chance I got, doing so throughout his US Navy career, wherever we were ...
