DSW PLAN INTRO - MARCH 2026 - THE STORY OF EASTER

Well, here we sit on the precipice of Spring, and it is so hard to believe! It seems like the older I get the more quickly time flies. This is never more evident than surrounding holidays. It seems like it was just yesterday that we were celebrating and telling the story of Christmas, and now we are looking squarely into the eyes of Easter! As a child, I would complain to my Granny Garrett, whom I had the privilege of growing up next door to, about being bored during the long, hot, Georgia summers. She would just chuckle at me with a glimmer in her eye and say “oh honey, just wait till you get older. Time flies!” Granny was right about that and so many other things!

As I prepare for Easter 2026, I was doing some shopping last week, seeking out some craft supplies for a church craft we are doing at our Spring Women's Prayer Breakfast next week. Walking up and down the aisles of my local Dollar Tree store, I was heartsick to see that not one, single Easter based piece of merchandise truly pointed to the real meaning of Easter! Oh yes, there were bunnies, eggs, and even carrots all over, but nothing that spoke to our Savior's crucifixion and resurrection, and that makes this month's daily scripture writing plan all the more important! We need to tell the story of Easter over and over and over again! How else will we ever impart the true meaning of Easter to a lost and dying world? So this month's plan, “The Story Of Easter,” is intended to be a help to you in telling that story in your everyday life. As you write the selected passages every day, dive in deeper to the context of the place and time. Seek out application for your daily life. SHARE the passages aloud to others, and even share your writings on our group page daily. I would love to see our page "lit up" with posts for the month of March (and I'll make an extra effort to post my own!).

Happy Writing!!

Mel

** Please note: I write all my plans based from the KJV Holy Bible, so other translations may vary in wording, but should have the same context. Also, I write all my plans for 31 days so they can be used any month of the year. **
