DSW - DEC 2025 - THE KING HAS COME - Plan Intro

"The King is coming, the King is coming
I just heard the trumpet sounding
And now his face I see
The King is coming, the King is coming
Praise God, He's coming for me"

Just reading the words of that old hymn, "The King Is Coming," brings hot tears springing to my eyes.  This month's plan, "The King Has Come," reminds me that the infant child we celebrate this season became our Savior King!

As we enter this sacred Advent season, our hearts turn once again to the miracle of Christ’s coming. The King Has Come Daily Scripture Writing Plan was created to help you slow down, breathe deeply, and draw near to the Savior through the steady rhythm of God’s Word. In a world full of hurry, Scripture writing is a simple yet powerful way to quiet the noise and let truth take root.

Each day’s passage has been prayerfully selected to guide you through the story of Christ—His promised arrival, His humble birth, His saving purpose, and His eternal reign. By writing these verses in your own hand, you will not only read Scripture—you will meditate on it, linger with it, and allow it to shape your heart.

Whether you are using this plan during your morning quiet time, evening reflections, or family devotion moments, I pray it brings you peace and a renewed sense of wonder. Jesus, the Light of the World, stepped into the darkness to bring hope, peace, joy, love, and life. As you write each verse, may His presence fill your heart with expectation and worship.

 April 2026 - Daily Scripture Writing Plan, "Names of God" Preface: This month's plan was originally shared back in July 2022.  As I attempted to create a new plan for April 2026, my mind was unsettled and my Spirit felt blocked from creating brand new content.  I prayed and sought the Lord's direction.  I felt Him leading me back to this plan from several years ago.  The names of God are timeless. I never tire of studying them.  As we are currently observing Holy Week leading up to Easter 2026, I believe this plan definitely bears repeating.  Perhaps it will help us keep our focus on the characteristics of our loving Father, even long past frilly, new Easter dresses, hats and bows.
