DSW - March 2025 - “Jesus in THE Book,” - Plan Intro
“That’s My King,” by Cece Winans
I wish I could tell youWish I could describe itBut I can't contain it, can't keep it to myselfThere aren't enough colorsTo paint the whole pictureNot enough words to ever say what I found
Wonderful and beautifulAnd glorious and holyHe is merciful and powerful
Who we talkin' about?
That's my king!
Last year I had the privilege of seeing CeCe Winans and concert, and watching her perform the song above live. It was such an amazing performance, and there was so much energy flowing through the room as the anointing fell from above that I could not stay in my seat! I was on my feet moving to the sound of the music and singing along with every word, to the point that I injured my left hip in doing so! I eventually had to have hip replacement surgery and the joke is that it was because of that song! Hahaha! (although honestly, there were pre-existing conditions, and I was already headed in that direction). At any rate, that song perfectly sums up how I feel about King Jesus. That’s my king! He truly does deserve all the glory and all of the honor and is all together worthy! I praise his holy name!
There are naysayers who assert that Jesus can only be found in the New Testament of the Holy Bible, but that simply is not true! Though he may not be literally found as an embodied person in the stories and accounts retold throughout the Old Testament, His character and Spirit can be found throughout both the Old and New Testaments. Over the next two months, our scripture writing plans will bring some of that forth. These plans are quite different in both their formatting and daily assignments than our usual plans are, so you may have to tailor them for your own writing style. You may wish to write more on some days or you may wish to write less on others. Make them your own. Dive in and see that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords truly is in every book of the Bible!
Mel
** Please note: I write all my plans based from the KJV Holy Bible, so other translations may vary in wording, but should have the same context. Also, I write all my plans for 31 days so they can be used any month of the year. **
