FRUIT SALAD!!

22But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Galatians 5:22-23

I live in the deep south - in the southernmost corner of the USA - and we love a good fruit salad!  Growing up, I always looked forward to family gatherings, church homecomings, etc. because I knew that someone would most certainly be bringing one of my favorite foods: FRUIT SALAD! There are various ways to make a good fruit salad, but my mother's version was always my favorite. On those special occasions, without fail, there would also be various forms of fruit on the serving tables whether it be served as just the fruit itself, in a watergate salad, or even an irresistible, made from scratch, banana pudding!  (and a southern favorite is a canned pear half with a dollop of mayonnaise in the hollowed out middle, with some sprinkled cheddar cheese & a cherry on top - I know - sounds crazy!). No matter how it is served up, I'm always one who's in search of fruit with my meal, as a dessert or a snack.  Afterall, it's a God-made dessert!!

In our lives as followers of Christ, we should always be producing much "fruit," as well.  In Galatians 5:22-23, the Apostle Paul defines fruit as, "love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, & temperance (self-control)." Just like the childhood version of me would run to the table to seek out the delicious fruit offerings at meal time, we should be running to these attributes within our own character, and in that of those individuals in our lives.  When we, as Christians, liberally share those character attributes, the world  around us will take notice, and will be drawn to those things. Jesus modeled these for the world to see, and we should strive daily to follow His example. 

This month's plan will focus on the Fruit of the Spirit, as defined in Galatians 5:22-26, starting with those verses on day 1 and with several days of each attribute as the month progresses.  I pray these verses will help us to better recognize these within our hearts & lives, as well as within the people around us every day.  Strive to liberally serve the spiritual fruit offerings, because as the Apostle Paul states, "There is no law against these things!"

DSW PLAN INTRO - APRIL 2026 - NAMES OF GOD

 April 2026 - Daily Scripture Writing Plan, "Names of God" Preface: This month's plan was originally shared back in July 2022.  As I attempted to create a new plan for April 2026, my mind was unsettled and my Spirit felt blocked from creating brand new content.  I prayed and sought the Lord's direction.  I felt Him leading me back to this plan from several years ago.  The names of God are timeless.
