Daily Scripture Writing - JUNE 2024 - "WORSHIP"

What comes to your mind when you think of the word, "worship?" Is it a particular memory of a time you were in a place of worship that brought you closer to God?  Is it a song that moves you in that direction?  Is it a particular passage in God's word that takes you there? Is it the time(s) you felt the anointing fall as you worshipped the Lord in a church service, and saw the shekinah glory of God fall all around you?  For me, it is all this, and more!

As a noun, Webster's dictionary defines worship as this:
1) Reverence offered a divine being or supernatural power also an act of expressing such reverence,
2) A form of religious practice with its creed and ritual,
3) Extravagant respect or admiration for or devotion to an object of esteem
As a (transitive) verb, Webster's defines worship in this way:
1) To honor or show reverence for as a divine being or supernatural power,
2) To regard with great or extravagant respect, honor, or devotion

Again, for me, it is certainly all this and more!  As a gospel singer in a duet, trio & even solo, I have the divine privilege of standing on a stage in all sorts of places, proclaiming the gospel through song and testimony.  In those moments when I feel the anointing fall and the Holy Spirit "shows up & shows out" while singing, that is a MOST incredible time of worship for me.  When I can look out into the crowd and see true worship taking place amongst the audience, that only makes the worship experience even greater! At other times, I am swept away to a place of worship while I'm immersed in God's Word, just marveling at the GLORY of His love coming through the LOGOS (written word).  Yet other times, I am taken away to a place of worship when I feel His Holy Spirit breathe upon me when I'm all alone in the wonder of His marvelous creation.

So, when, where & how do you find yourself in a place of worship?  As we focus on the word "worship" this month, ponder upon that, and focus your heart and mind on being there again & again.  It's an incredible place to be!  I pray the passages in this month's plan help to usher you there day after day!

Happy writing, and worshipping!!

~Mel~

Please note: I write all my plans based off the King James Version of the Holy Bible, so other translations may vary in wording but should have the same context. Also, I write all plans for 31 days so that they can be used any month of the year.
