DSW - MARCH 2024 - FROM THE MANGER TO THE CROSS
DSW - MARCH 2024 - FROM THE MANGER TO THE CROSS - Plan intro
"From The Manger To The Cross,"© by Melissa Hood
Without a manger, there couldn't be a cross.
Without a Father sending through H
is loss.
Without a mother giving up her son, There'd be no forgiveness for each and every one.
O silent night, o holy night.
heaven came down and showed it's glorious might.
A king was born so He could die. He did it all to save you and I.
In the holiday season, the world sings jingle bells,
But the reason for the season, was to save from death and hell.
It started in the manger, and ended on a tree,
Jesus gave His life that we might be set free.
O silent night, o holy night.
heaven came down and showed it's glorious might.
A king was born so He could die.
And He did it all to save you and I.
Without a manger, there couldn't be a cross.
Without a Father sending through His loss.

It seems like it was just yesterday that we were all in the Christmas spirit, and indeed, it was truly just a little over 2 months ago. It's fresh on my mind and hear;, the fact that if there hadn't been a manger, there'd be no cross. As a matter of fact, as you can see above, it inspired me to write the song, "From The Manger To The Cross"©. If I get brave enough, once I finish typing this intro and post it on the page, I might put an acapella version of it in the comments. We'll see...
It's true, that had there not been a manger with the Saviour of all mankind being born there, there wouldn't be a cross. There'd be no need for it because the Saviour would not exist. All of mankind would be left to follow the law and continue in hopes for a Savior. What a sad way to exist! But, PRAISE BE TO GOD, that was and is not the case. The Saviour was indeed born. He lived a sinless life. He died a harsh and cruel death on a cross. But the cross is not the end - OH HALLELUJAH!! The cross was not the end because on the 3rd day, HE AROSE!!!! The women went to the tomb to anoint His body, but it wasn't there. They must have been so completely undone when they arrived there and Jesus' body was gone. But oh, the SHEER JOY they must have felt when they realized He'd done just as He said He would and had RISEN FROM THE DEAD!!! We can live in that same joy and wonder every day as we live here on earth as citizens of heaven. We do not need to walk in defeat because our risen Lord & Saviour, JESUS CHRIST, defeated death and hell, and we can, too!!! HALLELUJAH, YOU HAVE SAVED ME!!! PRAISE THE HOLY NAME OF JESUS!!!
For this month's plan, I wanted to take a look at Jesus birth, death and resurrection from all 4 gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Hopefully, as you read & write through the plan, you'll recognize that structure, and also realize that the BEST NEWS EVER is saved for the last portion: JESUS' RESURRECTION!! Of course, this plan coincides with Easter, and this year, that falls on the last day of March. I couldn't have planned it better myself!
As you dive into this months plan, remember the baby born in the manger. Remember the humble and gentle man who died on a tree. Finally, remember the TRIUMPHANT Saviour who arose from the grave on the 3rd day and redeemed all mankind from their sin. OH, GLORY HALLELUJAH! WHAT A SAVIOUR!!!
Melissa
Please note: I write all my plans based off the King James Version of the Holy Bible, so other translations may vary in wording but should have the same context. Also, I write all plans for 31 days so that they can be used any month of the year.
