DSW - OCTOBER 2023 - GRACE - PLAN INTRO
One of the first times I ever took to the stage in a church to sing a solo (at the tender age of 8) was to sing the song below:
Grace for Every Need
Verse 1There is joy divine that is ever mine, Since the Lord has forgiven me; (pardoned me)
And I work and sing for my blessed King, By His grace I have been made free. (truly free).
Verse 2
He will ever keep when the tempests sweep, And hath grace for each trying hour; (every hour)
So I go in love to this Friend above, Ever trusting His grace and power. (grace and power).
Verse 3
O this wondrous grace is for all the race, It is boundless and full and free: (full and free);
And I trust and cling to my blessed King Who by grace now is keeping me. (keeping me).
Chorus
There is grace for ev'ry need,
There is grace for ev'ry need,
Grace for you, grace for me, Keeping true,
Keeping free, Precious saving grace indeed,
Flowing from the throne above,
Grace to cover all my sin, Grace to all who believe
Keeping free, Precious saving grace indeed,
Flowing from the throne above,
Grace to cover all my sin, Grace to all who believe
O this grace now receive. Full forgiveness all may win,
Yes, there's grace in the Lord's perfect love.
At that young age, I had no clue what it meant to stand there and sing about God's AMAZING GRACE. Even now, decades later, I am STILL trying to wrap my head around GRACE, and I even sing in a gospel duet called, "BY HIS GRACE." However, I don't think I will ever fully understand GOD'S AMAZING GRACE in this lifetime!
This acrostic is sometimes used to describe it:
G - God's
R - Riches
A - At
C - Christ's
E - Expense
While that certainly is an aspect of grace, the acrostic doesn't fully encompass the meaning of GRACE. But tell me, what does??? A Google search yields this:
Please keep in mind that I write all my plans based from the King James version of the Holy Bible, so other translations may differ some in wording, but the context should be the same. I also write all my plans for 31 days so that they can be used for any month of the year.
Happy reading and writing!
